The inn is situated in a hilly area near Pannonhalma in a town called Gyorujbarat. Pannonhalma is home to the famous abbey and library of the same name. This region is known for its lovely wines from the abbey and surrounding wineries. It is a perfect location for a wine tasting adventure. Besides the wonderful wine, there are possibilities to go on walking tours of the hills and horseback riding. The landscape is cozy and peaceful. There is no noise or traffic here. But if one needs the conveniences of a city, Gyor is only 8km away. Gyor has a fabulous water park that is open all year round complete with thermal baths and pools for the children. Aranypatko Fogado is a great place to come for a weekend get away from the hustle of big city life. A weekend away is easy to manage since the inn is only one hour from Budapest, one hour from Vienna, Austria and 45 minutes from Bratislava, Slovakia. The inn is always open and ready to serve. The Restaurant We have a high quality restaurant and café waiting to serve guests and offering full board to those staying overnight if they so desire. Our menu consists of a mixture of splendid international and home cuisine. We are happy to make special requests depending on what ingredients we have available. To end your meal on a sweet note, we have delicious fresh pastries and ice cream on a daily basis. You can choose from a variety of the best wines from our wine lists. On Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant has longer hours with live music. The Rooms Aranypatko Fogado has 4 apartments with 2 beds each and spare beds available on request. The two larger apartments can easily fit four people, e.g., 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are cozy and new, each having a TV, air-conditioning, a bathroom and a mini kitchen that were built in December 2003.
